My name is Tasha Knight. I have always loved taking photos, and started working professionally in 2008. My family is very involved in every aspect of car racing, and as part of the racing scene, I identified a need for photography at Victoria’s Western Speedway racetrack. It was a logical fit for me to embrace action photography.

As the years passed and I became a bride and a parent, I shifted gears, developing an extensive portfolio with slower moving subjects. Years of experience, continuing education, and taking advantage of every opportunity to grow as an artist have helped me become a skilled, artistic and versatile photographer. I am comfortable behind the camera, and I can work photographic magic in any location and for any occasion. 

I’m told that I have a knack for putting people at ease, coaxing smiles out of grumpy kids and camera-shy husbands, and getting natural shots with happy, relaxed faces. As a bonus, my experience at the racetrack serves me well when photographing active kids! It is important to me to take authentic photos. My favourite part of being a photographer is having the opportunity to be part of some very special moments. It’s a joy to capture love in all its many forms, and it is my goal to ensure that love shines through in all the photos I take.

I have experience artfully recording important occasions of every type, including engagements, weddings, maternity shoots, newborn photos, first birthday cake smash sessions, parties, graduations, baptisms, tasteful boudoir photos, seasonal mini-sessions, and various styles of family photos. As a mom, I know what it’s like for moms to scroll through photos, realizing that you have endless photos of your kids with everyone but you. I would love to help you change that! Whether you’re looking for formal portraits, a casual outdoor session in a variety of settings, or even lifestyle photos in your home, I can give you a chance to be in front of the camera instead of behind it. I love having so many regular clients who refer to me as their “official family photographer.” It’s amazing to chronicle the lives of these families and to be present for all their milestones, big and small.

I know that the love, moments and memories I capture with my camera will be treasured, displayed and looked at for years and generations to come. It is no small thing to be entrusted with preserving these all too fleeting, beautiful moments in time, and I don’t take that trust lightly. It’s an honour to be a part of your wonderful memories.
